I PLAY (6-18 months)
This program introduces babies and toddlers into the world of active play and fun development, With parents’ assistance, babies and toddlers will start to understand and engage with their bodies. Class will provide a range of exercises vital for early development.
I EXPLORE (1.5-2.5 years)
I EXPLORE is designed for toddlers aged 1.5 – 2.5 years old that are walking, exploring and interacting with the world around them.
The program will run similarly to our KINDERGYM class with a more flexible structure and more time to explore the gym with your toddler in their own time and at their own pace.
I EXPLORE will focus on the development and growth in your toddler through balance, hand – eye coordination, spatial awareness, body awareness and strength.
Through cognitive and active play toddlers will learn many skills for their future.
KINDERGYM (2.5 – 4 Years)
This program is based on the fact that children learn best through exploring and discovering their abilities through physical activity.
KINDERGYM ensures that children in this group can experience a wide range of movement activities and be encouraged to think, create, construct and solve problems with their own bodies.
KINDERGYM relies on equipment circuit set ups that are safe, stimulating and provide endless movement opportunities for children to play, explore and learn.
KINDERGYM also assists in child development, co-ordination and self-esteem. The program promotes the child as the key focal point and involves active participation of the child’s mother, father or carer.
I TRY (3 - 4 Years)
I TRY is based on the principle “when kids try, they learn.” Lessons are designed to increase strength and muscle control, develop fine and gross motor skills as well as hand-eye coordination and body awareness in a comfortable play environment to transition to independent learning.
This program is for kids who are ready to work independently without a parent.
Also this program offers children the opportunity to be active on trampolines, foam pit, balancing beam, soft play equipment, rings, bars, ropes and fun handheld equipment such as hoops, ribbons, balls and much more. As well as physical development this class encourages social/emotional development enhancing self-esteem, confidence, positive attitudes, turn taking and sharing skills. Important note: all children 2.5 – 4.5 years of age must trial in our KINDERGYM class first. Your child must be recommended for this class during the trial in order to enroll into it.
I CAN DO (4 - 5 Years)
I CAN DO classes are designed for pre-schoolers who are starting school the following year.
This program encourages kids to exercise independently and prepares them to cope with the future demands of a school routine.
This program is a vital part of early childhood development.
Children will be introduced to gym apparatus in an exploratory way, preparing them for the next step in our recreational gymnastics program. They will gain physical strength, flexibility and learn some basics from recreational gymnastics curriculum. Children will improve all dominant movement patterns such as swings, locomotion, static, rotation, spring and landing equipping them with skills required for future sports.
ADVANCED (4 – 5 Years)
I CAN DO Advanced classes are by selection only and are designed to develop child’s abilities for pursuing different competitive gymnastics disciplines once they start school, such as Women’s Artistic Gymnastics, Men’s Artistic Gymnastics and Acrobatic Gymnastics.
Children will learn skills required for a pathway to transition into competitive squads once they start school.
PLAYGROUP (6 Months – 5 Years)
Introducing Playgroup to Sydney Hills Gymnastics! A fun, engaging and relaxed session aimed at building community of parents while sipping coffee/tea and encouraging kids 6 months to 5 years of age to free play in the gym. Every Wednesday at both venues and every Monday at Bella Vista from 20th May.
General Terms for all Early Learning Programs:
1. Early Learning classes run during school terms. Students are welcome to join at any point during the term.
2. Up to three casual lessons are available to help us determine if a class is suitable (applicable to parent assisted classes).
3. If you are unable to attend your regular class, contact us to book a make up class within the same school term.
4. There will be maximum one class per term transferred to the next consecutive term as a sick leave.
5. All payments for the term must be settled by the due date.
Our club is a part of the National Risk Protection Program with Honan Insurance as the insurance provider. The fee we pay to the insurer is a fixed amount per calendar year. Our club is required to pay the full registration amount for each child regardless of when the child starts their membership during the calendar year. The fee structure is explained in the table below. This insurance fee ensures your child is protected should they accidentally injure themselves while participating in gymnastics at our club.
